Choral Conducting

MARY MOGIL is a Londoner and graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she won the British Song Prize. As Soprano soloist and recitalist she sang Lieder and Oratorio in England, Germany and Austria.

She was Head of Music and Speech & Drama at a Public School in London and organised performances for children’s, youth and adult groups, working with both amateur and professional speakers, singers and instrumentalists.

She spent over twenty years as singer, teacher and choir conductor in Salzburg, where she directed a variety of choirs ranging from chamber groups to an award-winning choral society.

She also founded a voice training class, lectured at seminars for singers and choral directors and worked with choirs and dramatic societies in Germany and Switzerland.

She is proficient in a wide variety of classical music and drama, and enjoys singing and teaching folk, musical, jazz and contemporary vocal and choral music.

For fifteen years she was a vocal coach and lecturer for Vocal Training, Languages for Singers (Italian, German and French), and Choral Conducting at Morley College, London.

She founded and conducts The Leon Singers.
